Application Guidelines

There are three methods of applying to Dark Water Studios regardless of the post you are interested in.

  1. Post
    Send a cover letter, current CV and demo reel / example code to:

  2. E-Mail
    Send a cover mail with a current CV attachment and a link to your demo reel / example code to:

    Please remember to add the job title to your subject bar. Please do not exceed 4MB limit.

  3. Online application
    Fill in the online form and upload your CV
Notes on Applications

Following are a few points to remember when applying for a position at Dark Water Studios.

Cover Letter
  • This is a chance to explain why you want to work with us in a particular position. Be sure to proof read your cover letter.
  • Cover letters should be no longer than one side of an A4 page and should be well spaced out and easy to read.
  • Make sure you include the position you are applying for.
CV / Resume
  • Make sure you include your contact information.
  • Include all work experience but only give detailed descriptions to relevant experience.
  • Only include relevant skills.
  • Make sure you include your educational background and any other courses that have relevance to the application.
  • There should be no time gaps in your CV/resume.
Designers and Artists

Cover letter, CV and...

  • Applications by post must include a demo reel / portfolio.
  • Applications by email or online must include a link to a site that showcases your work.
Programmers

Cover letter, CV and...

  • Code examples are a big plus.
Other important points
  • Due to the amount of applications we receive it is impossible for us to make contact with applicants by phone. However, applications received via email or through online application will receive an automated response to let candidates know we have received their materials.
  • Materials received via post cannot be returned.
  • Emails must be under a 4Mb limit. If you are applying for a content orientated role (IE 2d Art, Designer etc) then please provide a link to your materials.
