Responsibilities
- Concept, Layout and design of world geometry/levels.
- Creation of ultra high quality high and low res geometry within specified polygon budgets and constraints.
- Creation of normal, diffuse and specular textures for use in-game.
- Working closely with the Lead Artist, Content and Programming teams during production and implementation.
- Estimating and maintaining timescales and deliverables.
- Ensuring timely delivery and quality of work assigned on schedule.
Requirements
- Thorough fluency in 3DSMAX and Photoshop.
- Excellent spatial awareness and modelling skills.
- Ability and patience to create stunningly realistic models from concept art or photographs down to the last detail and deliver assets on time and to schedule.
- Good knowledge of composition, form and colour.
- Strong grasp of UV theory and unwrapping.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Familiarity with the constraints of modelling for real-time interactive platforms.
- Strong communication skills and comfortable with taking direction/constructive criticism.
- Good understanding of lighting theory and atmospherics.
- Strong understanding of game production challenges.
Desirable
- Published and well received game title on PC or console.
- Passion for games and the challenges of realistic modelling.
- 3rd level qualification in a 3D modelling related discipline.
- Background in architecture or visualisation.
