Before Dark Water Studios evolved from sister company Instinct Technology to create DogFighter, the core design team worked on other high calibre game projects over the previous 4 year period. Shown below are two of theese projects: Dreadnought and Prospector.

Dreadnought was a work-for-hire PC game created for AMD to showcase their Athlon 64 chip. Dreadnought was the world's first native 64 bit next generation game, and is a fully playable free mini-game which you can download from here.

Prospector was a looping cinematic demo used to showcase the power, flexibility and ease-of-use of Instinct Studio at its launch at GDC San Jose in 2006. The locale is an old abandoned mine settlement which is quite a departure from the styles we used in the past, as well as going against the grain of more contemporary work in next generation games that were around at the time. We also threw in a few little quirks into the scene to make a lasting impression!
